Recently, Jeena Criticare, the critical healthcare division of Jeena & Co., India’s trusted and reliable logistics company, recently announced having completed a milestone of 100 tonnes of COVID-19 vaccine deliveries across the country in the last year.
Throughout 2021—the year when the nation was on a fast track to completing COVID vaccination after a devastating 2nd wave—Jeena Criticare was at the forefront of these efforts. Be it as an appointed distributor of Serum Institute of India’s (SII’s) COVISHEILD vaccine deliveries for private hospital supplies across the country or as a part of the strategic collaboration for Asia’s first drone-based vaccine delivery project for the Telangana government, Jeena Criticare has played a pivotal role.
Apart from the above milestone, during the peak pandemic time till the end of 2021, Jeena Criticare has been instrumental in clearing and moving 3,000 MT of COVID care equipment that includes oxygen concentrators, RT PCR kits, PPE kits, hospital beds, medicines, and critical care drugs, masks, vaccines, and ventilators. Jeena’s Pharma Division has also been instrumental in getting fast-track import clearance, from the normal 24 hours to a special 5 hours flat, for COVID Care Aid and other healthcare transportation from countries like South Korea, Germany, USA, Taiwan, China, Italy, and also the WHO. With their global logistics support, Jeena has also been a part of India’s export chain, enabling healthcare to various countries and also for customers like the WHO (World Health Organisation).
Jeena & Co., an over-100-year-old logistics company, has always been at the forefront of innovation in end-to-end logistics solutions and continues to be a trusted and reliable supply chain partner.
Speaking about the milestone achievement and the strong thrust on critical healthcare adoption, Cyrus Katagra, Director, Jeena & Co., said, “This is a proud moment for Jeena Group, as we are actively a part of the nation’s building process. We have been distributing the vaccine shipments, which are otherwise time and temperature-sensitive, in record time! As one of the country’s leading brands in end-to-end logistics and supply chain solutions, we believe in not only remaining relevant but also leading the change. Our partnership with various government and private stakeholders, including the drone technology company TechEagle, the SII, and various state and central government bodies, is a part of our commitment to driving digitally enabled efficiencies across our own business operations as well as to enhance our service offerings, such that they can add value and delight to our customers and the nation at large. 70% of our vaccines are delivered across India within 8–12 hours flat. This National Vaccination Day, we at Jeena Criticare would like to re-iterate our commitment to strengthening the nation’s vaccine distribution system and making it robust in these trying times. It is, after all, a collaborative effort between innovations in medical science and tech-enabled supply chains that can together eradicate pandemics and diseases across the nation.”
Earlier in September 2021, in a strategic partnership with TechEagle, Jeena criticare has been a part of the successful completion of Asia’s first drone-based vaccine delivery project in a complete cold chain environment for the Telangana government. The above partnership is a step forward for logistics and supply chain companies, 3PL and 4PL players, as they accelerate tech adoption across supply chains, embracing emerging deep tech like drones, AI, ML, and robotics. This, especially in the backdrop of the recently liberalised drone technology rules, is in line with the Central Government’s ambitious plans to reduce the logistics costs of the country through a combination of policy, technology adoption and infrastructure development.
Even as the impact of the pandemic remains a matter of primary concern, so do the logistics hurdles. Having said that, it is not a misnomer that the logistics sector is called the frontline warriors of India Inc. today. From temperature-sensitive storage and loading to handling and delivering vaccines to the remotest corners of the country in a seamless and effective manner, the Indian pharma supply chains have been the backbone of delivering health and happiness across the nation.
On this National Vaccination Day, Jeena Criticare pledges to continue its commitment to helping build robust vaccine supply chains and last mile logistics to lead India’s critical fight against the pandemic and all diseases.
