IAG Cargo joins hands with Bolloré Logistics to buy SAF

IAG Cargo has partnered with Bolloré Logistics for the purchase of 1m litres of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The SAF will be delivered in two shipments—in July 2022 and November 2022. IAG was the first European airline group to commit to having SAF comprise 10 per cent of its fuel by 2030. In a release, Philippe de Crecy, Vice President, airfreight, Europe, Bolloré Logistics said, “We are committed to reduce our Scope 3 CO2 emissions created by the execution of transport by 30 per cent by 2030 as compared to 2019. This pledge is significant to us, but it’s also significant for our clients so they can achieve their carbon emission reduction goals.”
