New logistics center unveiled at Agility Logistics Park in Doha

Agility announced the opening of a new fulfilment center at the Agility Logistics Park (ALP) in Doha by Lulu Hypermarket, a major retailer in Kuwait. The new 7,400 sq. m. logistics center will act as an exclusive e-fulfillment center and as the logistics hub for the company’s growing e-commerce activity in Kuwait. The new facility includes the latest in smart warehousing technologies such as automated sorting and storage, which organizes all products based on their categories, from fresh and frozen foods to other non-grocery products.

IndoSpace leases 50k sq. ft. space for cylinder unit in Chennai

IndoSpace has expanded its tenant portfolio by onboarding Lind Jensen Machinery (LJM). The hydraulic cylinder manufacturer will set up its first factory in India at Oragadam 2 in Chennai where it will produce hydraulic pitch, lock cylinders, and accumulators for the wind turbine industry. The project has received an investment of €2 million so far, stated a release. The facility, which occupies 50,000 sq. ft. space, may begin trial production by July-end This is LJM’s second facility in Asia, with the first one being operational in China. Rajesh Jaggi, Vice Chairman, Real Estate, Everstone Group said in a statement, “We are delighted to be able to provide an industrial ecosystem facility in Oragadam 2 for LJM to manufacture top of the line parts for the wind energy sector. This will go a long way in meeting India’s needs for sustainable energy, and we look forward to a lasting relationship with them.”

Mahindra Logistics Ltd (MLL) launches warehousing facility in Luhari district of Haryana. The facility comprises three grade-A warehouses, totally 1.4 million sq. ft area to its warehousing capacity. The newly built to Suit (BTS), warehouse is an important part of MLL’s Pan-India network of multi-client facilities that manage the fulfilment and distribution of its clients’ services within the e-commerce and consumer industries. The facility is designed in line with MLLs sustainability standards, including liquid discharge management, renewable energy, waste management requirements and state-of-the-art automation.

Mahindra Logistics ready open flagship warehouse in Luhari

Mahindra Logistics is planning to expand its business operations with the opening of its flagship warehousing facility in a single park at Luhari, Delhi – NCR on June 23. The company has added three Grade-A warehouses totalling 1.4 million sq. ft area to its warehousing capacity in Luhari, Haryana. “The new warehouses are part of our pan-India network of multi-client facilities that manage the fulfilment and distribution of its clients’ services within the e-commerce and consumer industries,” said a company statement. SEKO expands global network, allows access to new cargo facility

SEKO Logistics selects e-commerce logistics company, MyFBAPrep, for its service partner, Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA). The deal will include co-branded products and expands SEKO’s offering to include FBA fulfilment services. This partnership gives MyFBAPrep’s client roster of Amazon aggregators access to SEKO’s global fulfilment warehouses and an additional 4 million sq ft of new warehouse space globally. In addition to adding to their US footprint, SEKO brings a network that reaches into Europe, Canada, and the Asia-Pacific regions, said an official release. FWS commences construction of 1st multi-level in city warehousing project

Leading warehouse facility provider, FWS has commenced the construction of its first multi-level in city warehousing project. FWS plans to develop three to four more in city projects with an investment of over 300 crores in developing these projects, said an official company statement. Gross absorption in industrial, warehousing facilities up by 11% YoY

Activity in Grade A industrial and warehousing facilities continues to be robust during Q1 2022 with gross absorption in the top five cities at 6.2 mn sq feet, an 11 per cent increase from Q1 2021. The demand was led by heightened leasing in Delhi-NCR region and Mumbai. Vacancy across Grade A projects also declined during the quarter, indicating a healthy demand environment in the sector. Overall, the demand was steered by robust warehousing demand from third-party logistics players, amidst strong consumer demand across sectors. About 50 per cent of the gross absorption was led by third-party logistics players, followed by the Engineering and Automobile sectors with a share of 17 per cent and 12 per cent, respectively.

SPL, LOGOS sign MoU to develop logistics park

Shriram Properties Limited (SPL) and LOGOS have signed MoU for a potential sale of up to 90 acres of land in Shriram Grand City at Uttarpara, Kolkata, which will be developed into a warehousing and logistics park by LOGOS. The MoU for the proposed transaction was signed at the Global Investor Summit organised by Government of West Bengal at Kolkata and is subjected to necessary due-diligence and certain regulatory and governmental approvals that are customary to similar transactions. SPL is currently developing an integrated township project, ‘Shriram Grand City’ on a 314 acres of land parcel at Uttarpara in Kolkata.
