Yet, challenges persist—high adoption costs, limited infrastructure and low digital literacy hinder widespread use. Even when technology is adopted, lack of interoperability between systems creates silos, forcing companies to spend additionally to bridge gaps. Smaller players particularly struggle with these costs and skills, slowing sector-wide transformation. For sustainable growth, innovation must go hand-in-hand with affordability, interoperability, and capacity-building, ensuring all stakeholders benefit from the digital shift.”
